Hello! Welcome to the new Triangle Curling Club blog. About once a week, we'll be blogging about our club, our quest to build our own dedicated curling facility, and curling in general. When I say "new blog", really, we mean that our website will start to have more regular content and postings, and that it will tend to be more blog-like in nature. Enjoy!
Also, we promise that our blog posts are not just going to be thinly veiled attempts at fundraising. cough cough donate cough cough ... Wait, what was that?
On Tuesday, May 21st, the Triangle Curling Club joined Bridge II Sports to participate in the Valor Games Southeast. This is a three-day competition in adapted sports for wounded and injured service members held in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
The Club had the opportunity to set up an informational table at the Dean Smith Center to promote the club and our effort to create curling programs for those in wheelchairs and with other special needs.
Special thanks to club members Pam, Amy, Lance, Keith, Cliff and Lea. And a special thanks Tony Colaccio, who came down from Cape Cod, to help out.
Congratulations to Team Allen (Chris Allen, Patrick Rabenold, and Steve Janosko) for winning the Friday League!
