Long time Triangle Curling Club member, and President of the GNCC (Grand National Curling Club), Dick Macartney will be amongst a select group of USCA Curlers chosen to participate in the 2012 Mens Scottish Tour, known as the Scots tour. Only 20 curlers from the US are selected to participate in this event which makes getting selected very difficult, considering the number of curlers to choose from, and add to the fact that we are an Arena club makes this all the more special. Team members are chosen based on their service to curling, as well as their ambassadorial and curling skills. Members pay their own way to the event.

We are running two leagues for the Winter 2013 season: Sunday evening and Friday night.

Both leagues will have an open format, with eight guaranteed games, plus “Finals Week”. All curlers, regardless of experience, are welcome in both. There will be a maximum of 40 curlers (10 teams) on Friday and 36 curlers (9 teams) on Sunday.

Friday League - begins January 25, 2013

• Games are from 8:30 to 10:45 p.m. on 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/8, 3/15, 4/5, and 4/12
• Cost: $190 + membership (details below)

Sunday League - begins January 27, 2013

• Games are from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. on 1/27, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 4/7, and 4/14
• Cost: $190 + membership (details below)

If you curl in both leagues it will cost $340, a $40 discount.

Membership Dues
You must be a member of the Triangle Curling Club to join a league. League dues can be paid when your register for a league and are good for the entire year. Non-members can spare in a league up to four times per year.

Regular member: $85
Student member (must be currently enrolled): $65

Spare Fees
If you curl in a league, your spare fee will be $10.

If you do not curl in a league, your spare fee will be $20. Remember, you can only curl a maximum of four nights between September 2012 and May 2013, unless you pay a full club membership fee.

Sign-ups are open for all the upcoming Pick-Up and Strategy sessions as well as Learn to Curl in August. Sign up now to make sure you have a spot. All Pick-Ups are open to both Members and anyone who has taken a Learn to Curl . The May 22 strategy clinic is open to all current TCC members (We need at least 10 participants). Come learn why and how to call shots and establish a game plan. The Learn to Curl on Aug. 28 is the last one for year and will give you an opprtunity to learn the basics of curling and maybe even join the club and participate in the Fall 2011 League.
